We're MOVING to YOUTUBE!

Beacon News West Virginia has over 50 episodes on our Rumble channel, where we began and have enjoyed for years. We started there in 2022 because YouTube was censoring content related to the pandemic and we wanted a platform that protected free-speech; Rumble offered that.

However, Rumble is increasingly placing more ads on our videos, some of which are two minutes long, in the middle of episodes, 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 the choice to ‘skip’, or opt-out of an ad. This is a nuisance we don’t expect our audience to navigate in order to view our content.

Additionally, Rumble does not automatically optimize our videos to the highest resolution, and so, the viewer has to manually check the setting to make sure it’s on the highest definition, which is what we always use when recording.

Rumble’s algorithms also do not help us to connect with viewers in WV looking for our content and YouTube 𝑑𝑜𝑒𝑠. In the past two years, there are promising signs that YouTube has relaxed some of their guidelines surrounding free-speech.

And so, for these reasons, we are moving to YouTube in the hopes of a smoother experience for our audience. 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒘𝒆 𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒍𝒍 𝒋𝒐𝒊𝒏 𝒖𝒔 𝒂𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝒔𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒆!

The Rumble Channel will remain in tact for the foreseeable future, as many of the old episodes are still being viewed on a regular basis, but new episodes will appear on our YouTube space, beginning TODAY, April 6, 2026.
