Iconoclasm of the LGBTQ Agenda, Part I : Schism in the Gay Community

Just as sure as you know it will rain after washing your car, you can expect to hear the bigot bell ringing after expressing disagreement with the LGBTQ agenda. It is the most intolerant social movement in America. The one that claims tolerance, but only towards those who agree with their ideology. The one that claims “No Hate Here” while demonstrating hatred for God and His commandments through decades of debauchery and sacrilege.
The movement is so intolerant, they reached a massive schism in 2022, when hundreds and soon hundreds of thousands from the gay community believed their original goal -of being accepted into society- had been hijacked by radical activists seeking to indoctrinate a new generation.
Gays Against Groomers was born under the leadership of Jaimee Michell as a result. With combined followers on social media of over 948K supporters, they are making an impact on the cult of gender ideology adherents.
From the bio on their webpage:
“Gays Against Groomers is a 501(c)4 nonprofit of gays, lesbians, and others in the community who oppose the sexualization, indoctrination, and mutilation of children under the guise of radical “LGBTQIA+” activism. We are moms and dads, couples, siblings, husbands and wives, families and friends, typical gay American men and women who live our lives just like everyone else.
Our mission is twofold: to end the war on children being carried out in our name, and to reclaim the community we once called our own, which at this point has become unrecognizable. What we are witnessing is mass-scale child abuse being perpetuated on an entire generation, and we will no longer sit by and watch it happen.
From its inception in 2022, Gays Against Groomers has shut down “family-friendly” drag shows aimed at children, lobbied for bills preventing child abuse and mutilation, given speeches at school board meetings, organized rallies and protests, spoken out from within the community, and endorsed candidates who unequivocally condemn the current state of the gender movement as much as we do.
Gender ideology isn’t just a neo-religious cult; it is biotechnological warfare in drag. Its propaganda machine is relentless, like a multi-headed hydra with claws in every corporate sector. Those in mainstream media who endorse the trans agenda fail to represent the interests and concerns of gay people. This agenda is wreaking havoc in our schools, in our government and legal sector, and in the medical community—at the expense of millions like us who disagree with prioritizing so-called “gender identity” over material reality. We of Gays Against Groomers are determined to put a stop to this insanity once and for all.” (Emphasis added)
Under the guise of moral superiority, progressives in southern West Virginia are appalled at Christians holding fast to the moral standard of God. The Christians who recognize the distinction between sin and sinner. Between disease and patient. The people who know that one sin is not greater nor less than another; it’s all self-inflicted wounds. And the people who recognize the Church as a hospital for all souls seeking healing and wholeness.
The impulsive accusation brought against Christians is that they “hate” gay people. But true Christians do not hate gay people, or any people for that matter. True Christians are dismayed by the public celebration of identities based on sexuality in the town square and promoting that to children. There was a time in the not so distant past, when the majority of people in Fayetteville, WV agreed that it was wise to protect the innocence of children.
Thousands in the gay community, even those who aren’t religious at all, have been shocked to see the LGBTQ agenda move to incorporate children into drag shows, parades, summer camps focused on sexual identities, pornographic material and the like:
“Gays and lesbians fought very hard just to be seen as equals in society, just to have the same rights as everybody else. And I think that was a worthy fight and necessary fight and the mass majority of us just wanted that. We didn’t want to go any further—just be seen as everybody else, be treated as everybody else …but, these radical activists who have hijacked our community now have just been pushing, I think, you know, obviously for supremacy…special privilege, immunity from just disgusting behavior and things that they’re doing… And so, yeah, it’s completely…unhinged at this point. None of us within our organization and everybody that supports us within the community, we want nothing to do with that. It’s actually giving all of us a really bad name by association.” - Jaimee Michell, Founder, Gays Against Groomers, from the Joyful Warriors Podcast with Tiffany Justice, Dec. 19, 2022
The upcoming celebrations of pride in southern West Virginia will provide a litmus test for the organizers of these events. If they are about tolerance and respect, will they place boundaries around their propaganda to normalize identities based in sexuality in a community that, by a great degree, upholds Christian values such as traditional families and marriage between one man and one woman?
Does “respect and tolerance” by the definitions of the local LGBTQ community only go one-way? Does the gay community only feel accepted if they are exalted in the public square and allowed to convert young minds to their ideology?
Time will tell.
