Fayette County Board of Education Swears in New Members

The Fayette County Board of Education held a special meeting on Monday, July 6 to swear in new members of the board and elect officers.  

Judge Sam Fox, II was present to swear in three new board members: Mr. James Pat Gray, Mr. Joseph Groom and Mrs. Diane Callison.  They join Joshua Crist and Cindy Whitlock to complete the five member board. 

Gray, from the New Haven District has served multiple terms previously.  Groom, of the Valley District has served a previous four year term and Callison is newly elected, from the Plateau District.

Each member placed a hand on the Bible and swore to "support the Constitution of the United States, the Constitution of the State of West Virginia and faithfully discharge the duties of the office of member of the Board of Education of the County of Fayette, WV " to the best of their skill and judgement, ending with "So help me God."

James Gray was elected Board President and Cindy Whitlock was elected Vice-President.
