The New River Gorge gained National Park & Preserve status in December of 2020, which has brought a few changes to the small mountain town of Fayetteville, WV.  As a local hiker, I'm curious to find out what the impact has been on our trails in the past year and a half.  Dave Bieri, District Supervisor of the NRG National Park & Preserve , sat down with me recently to share some highlights.

Check out Episode 16 of Beacon News West Virginia  to learn about the increase in traffic, trail etiquette and ways to help maintain our trails for many years to come.  Thank you for visiting and, if you enjoy the content here, please subscribe to my Rumble channel so you won't miss an episode 😊
